It was So Cold,,, "How Cold Was It?"

It was So Cold In Key West that Sloppy Joes had to close the doors, something they never do except when Hurricanes pass over.

They didn't close down, people were still being served inside and the band was playing, but their Key West Chamber of Commerce Party Line is "We Never Close Our Doors!" or something to that effect (Don't quote me).

Anyway, I've been in Key West more years than I like to mention and I, someone who's burned out on the bar scene, I still have a good time at Sloppy's. The routine is to go to the sunset at Mallory, have a half dozen conch fritters, and then a short bike ride over to Sloppy's for a dance or two.

Ahhh...  All I ask is for a tall ship and a star to steer her by.....
