The first Conch Trains started running again today, less than a wekk after Hurrican Ike forced the mandatory evuacation of all tourists from the United States only Carribbean Island - Key West Florida!
While some local Key West residents say they are glad the Conch Train hasn't been running, these are the people who do not rely on tourists for their paycheck.
To explaine that, why locals don't like the Conch Train (or it's sister tour group Old Town Trolley) is becaus they drive dwon our streets at a dead slow pace. Getting stuck behind a Conch Train is the Key West equilivant of Grid Lock. Frankly, in this report's opinion, people should lighten up! Try being in a real rush hour traffic, like in Miami for example. Then you can complain. |
